A partner in Davis Polk’s IP Litigation group, technology companies rely on David in their highest-stakes disputes. He has tried cases in courts nationwide and in the International Trade Commission, securing substantial jury verdicts and settlements on behalf of plaintiffs, and pre- and post-trial judgments on behalf of defendants. He also handles appellate proceedings and works closely with clients to resolve business-critical IP matters outside the courtroom.
David heads Davis Polk’s GenAI litigation initiative, focused on developers, enterprise technology companies, and organizations implementing GenAI.

Thomas Choi is a Licensing Director at Ericsson, responsible for managing global IP transactions for Ericsson including SEP licensing. Prior to joining Ericsson, he had extensive IP licensing and technical experience from his time at Nortel, Wi-LAN and Intellectual Ventures. Thomas earned his J.D. from Santa Clara University and holds an MA in Electrical Engineering from Carleton University and BA in Computer Engineering from the University of Waterloo. He is a member of the California Bar and U.S. Patent Bar.

With over 15 years of experience, Monica routinely handles all matters of intellectual property protection. In addition, Monica has extensive experience advising on matters related to IP infringement, employment agreements, contract negotiations, and cyber security. A champion of trade secret protections, Monica founded Thermo Fisher’s trade secret and risk assessment committee for internally monitoring company trade secret practices. Monica is currently a member of the Intellectual Property Organization’s trade secret committee.
Diane is a four-time IAM Strategy 300 World's Leading IP Strategist and USPTO-registered patent attorney. At Dolby, she leads an 18-person global team, developing and executing U.S. and international patent filing strategies and heading Dolby’s worldwide trademark portfolio. A four-time Super Lawyers Rising Star, she began in IP litigation at international law firms Morrison & Foerster and Sidley Austin.
Diane frequently presents at conferences throughout the U.S. and has guest lectured at Stanford, University of California-Berkeley’s Haas School of Business, and serves as regular faculty at PLI. She has been quoted or profiled in numerous legal publications including Law360, American Lawyer/Law.com, IAM, and Managing IP. She is a Founding Board Member of the California IP Alliance. Diane received her J.D. from the University of Chicago and a Physics degree from Cornell University.

Brad Lawrence focuses his practice on intellectual property counseling including the protection of clients' inventions through carefully planned patent procurement. His practice also includes analysis of the IP and product positions of others and the development of licensing strategies as well as performing product clearances in the form of non-infringement and/or invalidity opinions. He also has significant prior litigation experience that includes many aspects of patent, trademark, and trade secret litigation as well as licensing and other extrajudicial resolution of IP disputes.
