Prof. Tomoyoshi Yoshinaga
Dr Tomoyoshi Yoshinaga is a professor of the Department of Aquatic Bioscience at the Graduate School of Agricultural and Life Sciences, the University of Tokyo. After receiving his PhD degree from that university in 1987, he entered the Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries as a researcher, where he worked at the National Research Institute of Fisheries Science and the National Research Institute of Aquaculture. He returned to the University of Tokyo in 2002 as a professor after his fifteen-year career at the ministry. Dr Yoshinaga is still a member of several committees on fish health and animal drugs in the ministry. He has been serving as the president of the Japanese Society of Fish Pathology since 1 April 2019. He has studied mainly fish and shellfish parasites and, for the last ten years, has expanded his interest and activity in the field of biosecurity of aquatic animals.

Dr. Jing Wang
Dr Jing Wang joined the OIE Regional Representation for Asia and the Pacific in May 2017 as a Regional Veterinary Officer. Her major responsibilities include organization of capacity building training and Antimicrobial Resistance related activities. She has been involving emerging disease response to provide timely technical support to the Member Countries to address the disease incursion and acting as a contact point for the OIE Reference Centres to facilitate and review the implementation of capacity building activities for national veterinary services in the region.
Prior to joining the OIE, she served for China Animal Disease Control Center for several years as assistant professor, focusing on animal diseases laboratory diagnosis as well as laboratory quality management. From 2013-2015, she was seconded to Veterinary Bureau, Ministry of Agriculture, P.R. China, where she gained knowledge on disease control and emerging disease preparedness.
She graduated as Doctor of Veterinary Medicine from China Agriculture University, Beijing Key Laboratory of Detection Technology for Animal-Derived Food Safety.
